Talent of the month: Paul Burke

burke_lg.jpg

I've been in the business forever and I love doing what I do.When I record a spot, I think about 3 things... who I am in the commercial... who I'm talking to and I try to get my head into the writer's head, to figure out the sound that he/she was thinking of when they wrote it. Whether you've written a hard-sell or straight spot... I think you'll like the unique way I interpret your words. And I do Voice Acting! Character voices are fun and I do lots of them... John Cleese type British... Crusty professor type British... Mr. Ed... Nerd... Sam Spade Detective... Bullwinkle the Moose... Shyster Lawyer... Old Cowboy... Hillbilly... Panicked Husband... Talking Dog... Now stop reading... and place an order!

1. Go to the "Invoices" box and click it to open up that portal.
2. Click on the Invoice that you wish to pay for.
3. Click "Pay Online" on the corresponding invoice number.
4. Fill out your billing information when asked.
5. Click on your preferred payment method (either paypal or by credit card).
6. Clicking on either will take you to a portal to complete the transaction.

Thanks a bunch!

Producer Tip Of The Month: To phone or not to phone
kikoracerxweb2.jpg

PHONE NUMBERS IN ADS DON'T WORK.

Unless the phone number is extremely memorable. Wouldn't it be great to have the number 867-5309?

Well, maybe not.

Ask yourself, unless the phone number is easy to remember, no one is going to bother writing it down. The average listener will not even call right-away. Especially when most people listen actively to the radio while driving. Instead, invite them to look in your local yellow pages, or perhaps a website address. By including a phone number, you are wasting valuable air-time for your client when you could include other more pertient information.

'til next month, happy writing!
